Grupo CGI has reached a strategic agreement with Safety21, Italy’s leading provider of enforcement technologies, smart mobility solutions and digital road safety services, under which the Italian company takes a stake in Colaboración Administrativa para Seguridad Vial (CASV), the group subsidiary specialising in assistance with penalty processing and road safety.
The agreement reinforces Grupo CGI’s commitment to innovation and technological specialisation, combining CASV’s experience in the Spanish market with the capability and European reach of Safety21 Group in order to drive new services and bid for larger projects in road safety, smart mobility and digital public services.
Twenty-five years alongside public authorities
With more than twenty-five years working with public bodies across Spain, Grupo CGI has established itself as a reference in assisting with revenue management and delivering specialist services to public authorities. Through CASV it has built up, in recent years, a solid track record in assisting with the processing and handling of traffic penalties and administrative sanctions, bringing in technology that helps improve road safety and administrative efficiency.
What the parties say
Ramón Solé Vilanova, chief executive of Grupo CGI, highlights how the deal fits strategically:
«From our first conversations it was clear that Safety21 Group shares our strategic view of where this sector is going. Their experience in digitising mobility and road safety services, together with their ability to develop innovative technology platforms, is a great opportunity to drive the next stage of CASV’s growth. We remain fully committed to this project, guided by a shared vision built on sustainable growth, innovation and long-term value creation.»
For his part, Gianluca Longo, CEO of Safety21 Group, underlines the value of the two organisations working together:
«CGI is a high-quality partner with distinctive capabilities, long-standing customer relationships and an outstanding management team. By joining forces, we believe we can accelerate the growth of both organisations while creating new opportunities for customers, partners and public institutions.»
What the alliance means
With this alliance, Grupo CGI reaffirms its commitment to supporting public authorities as they modernise, driving innovative solutions that contribute to more efficient management, safer mobility and public services that are increasingly digital.
