01
Number plate
OCR reading of the vehicle, moving or parked.
Dynamic patrol for multiple detections
Mobile intelligence system embedded in the patrol car, which features a license plate reader with LPR technology for monitoring the surrounding traffic. It checks each one there and then and alerts the officer to what it finds: lack of insurance or vehicle inspection, speeding violations, improper parking...
1
second
How long it takes to check a plate, according to the manufacturer.
IP54
protection
Dust and splashing water from any direction. It works in the rain.
0
cables
Magnetic or suction mount. The vehicle does not have to be touched.
In service
The IP54 rating covers dust and splashing water from any direction. On patrol, that is the difference between carrying on and having to stop.
What it captures
The reading does not stop at the number. In the same pass the device identifies the country of the plate and the features of the vehicle, which is what tells a car from a heavy goods vehicle, or reveals that the plate read does not belong to the car carrying it.
The officer in the vehicle sees on screen what the device is detecting, and decides. The system proposes; the person resolves.
01
OCR reading of the vehicle, moving or parked.
02
Country that issued the plate.
03
Classification by category.
04
Identification of the vehicle read.
05
An attribute to cross-check against the plate.
06
Where and when the reading took place.
In service
Magnetic or suction mount: no wiring to install and no vehicle to modify. The same device moves from one car to another, or comes down onto a tripod for a fixed checkpoint.
Readings appear on the tablet in the vehicle as they happen, with their image and their location. The officer checks and decides on the move, without waiting for the end of the shift.
Capabilities
It works with the car driving; there is no need to stop or to set the device up at a fixed point.
On a tripod or gantry it becomes a fixed checkpoint, with no change of device or platform.
Magnetic or suction mount on the roof. It goes on and comes off in minutes.
The system flags what it has found and the officer checks it as they go.
Improvements and configuration changes arrive from TitanO, without a trip to the workshop.
One crew can run the check, with no back-up team on the road.
Where it is used
Technology
Built-in cameras and neural networks trained for the urban environment.
Recognition works with both the device and the target in motion.
The data enters the platform there and then, not at the end of the shift.
Sealed against dust and splashing water; built to work outdoors.
Specifications as stated by the manufacturer. Pending technical validation for the Spanish market.
Privacy and GDPR
GUARDIUM handles personal data from the first frame: a number plate identifies a person. The algorithm protects the data. The deployment is defined with the council before going live, not afterwards.
It is agreed in writing what is checked and against which databases, within what the council is authorised to do.
The device proposes; a penalty is always decided by an officer.
Every reading is logged with its time and its location.
Anything that does not lead to a case file is not kept beyond the agreed period.

GUARDIUM does not work alone: what it captures enters the platform and carries on through to the case file.
Frequently asked questions
No. The mount is magnetic or suction and needs no fixed wiring, so the same device can move from one vehicle to another.
Yes. That is its main way of working: it reads while the patrol drives. It can also be used statically on a tripod or gantry.
No. It detects and alerts; the assessment and the notice are always the officer's.
Those the council is authorised to use. The exact scope in Spain is settled in the initial assessment, because it depends on each authority's access permissions.
Yes, within its IP54 rating: dust and splashing water from any direction.
