Fines and revenue collection

eStima · TAO 2.0

The current generation of the TAO product suite for fines processing and revenue collection, with processes adapted to electronic case handling.

What it is for

The problem it solves

A penalty case file has deadlines, notifications, representations, appeals and a collection phase. Each of those steps carries risks inherent to the procedure: a notification served out of time, an unresolved representation, a limitation period that went unnoticed.

eStima manages the full cycle of fines processing and collection in a web-based environment, with procedures adapted to e-government and alerts on critical deadlines. The cycle begins with reports being loaded from a range of sources (scanned penalty notices, police apps, offence-detection devices and other external systems), which creates a new case file and a debt item for collection management. Management through scheduled, unattended processes is a distinguishing feature.

Who it is for

Treasury, Revenue Management and those responsible for case processing.

When it fits

Public authorities that manage traffic and administrative penalty case files, and their collection.

Frequently asked questions

What we are usually asked

How does it relate to T-Systems' TAO?

eStima is the 2.0 generation of the TAO products, with a web architecture and processes adapted to electronic case handling. TAO was originally developed by the founders of Grupo CGI and later acquired by T-Systems, which is why CGi21 has in-depth knowledge of it.

Does a server have to be installed at the council?

Not necessarily. It can run either in the CGi21 cloud or on premise.

How does it prevent cases becoming time-barred?

With automatic alerts on critical deadlines, leaving enough margin to act.
